Sayonara Seniors: Gamma Gamma Says Farewell to the Class of 2023

Sayonara Seniors: Gamma Gamma Says Farewell to the Class of 2023

By Grace Hogshead

As the school year is coming to a close, the Gamma Gamma chapter of Pi Sigma Epsilon would like to take the time to celebrate the Graduating Class of 2023. The chapter is so grateful for our seniors and all they have given to make Gamma Gamma what it is today. We will dearly miss this class and will forever cherish our memories with them. However, they will always be a part of our family, and they will always be welcome home with open arms.

On May 13, 2023, 33 Gamma Gamma members will graduate from Miami University and move on to greater things. Personally and professionally, it is without a doubt that these members will continue to thrive past college. We are beyond proud of these members and cannot wait to see what they accomplish next.

PSE members were invited to share what the senior class means to them. When asked to talk about a senior who has impacted him, Junior Zach Hazard shared, "Sarah Holman was one of the very first people to welcome me into the chapter when I joined and truly made me feel at home. She is the greatest matriarch of any PSE fam, and I will miss her dearly."

Freshman Meredith Vontroba shared Danielle Barnes and Ashley Hess's impact on her, saying, "They were the President and the Director of New Member Development when I joined PSE. They were always at every PSE activity I went to and would go out of their way to converse with me. The two of them made me feel more comfortable getting to know people in the chapter and participating in PSE activities."

Sophomore Noah Klimek emphasized how he will miss all of the seniors but wanted to shout out a few, saying, "I'm really going to miss Dylan Forche, Grant Baxla, Abby Larson, and Annie Cheng. Dylan is the next Lionel Messi of JP Morgan's New York office. As the captain of PSE soccer and a tremendous friend and leader, he's certainly made his mark on our chapter. He's a great person to be around, and I wish him the best. Grant is the King of Community Service and the Santino family. He helped shape the lives of others, but left a special mark on our brothers. I'm immensely proud of him and the successes he's had during his time in PSE. Lastly, Abby and Annie are two of the hardest working and kindest people you will ever meet. Abby is incredibly smart and always has a smile on her face. If you can find time on her Google Calendar, you'll learn that Annie is incredible and warmhearted. I'll miss all of these people very much."

It is impossible to put into words how much love the chapter has for our graduating seniors. On behalf of Gamma Gamma, thank you to our seniors for spending the last few years with us and for all you have done to pave the way for our journeys in the chapter.

Congratulations to the Gamma Gamma members in the Graduating Class of 2023!
